A total of seven new sports are currently being considered by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) as additions to the Paralympic sports programme for the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Games.

British Colleges Women's Hockey Team travelled to Portugal for a hockey tour from the 28th July - 3rd August 2010 and were victorious in all of their 5 fixtures, 2 of which were against the National Portuguese side.

Balby Carr College  will be travelling to Portugal for Cultural and Activity tour from the 23rd - 28th October 2010, staying in Lisbon City for the duration of their stay.

Welwyn RFC U17's will once again be travelling to Portugal from the 8th - 10th April 2011.

Millfield School  will be travelling to Portugal for a football tour from the 21st - 25th October 2010, training at the Sporting Lisbon academy for the duration of their stay.

Cheadle Hulme School will be traveling to Portugal for a football tour from the 21st - 25th April 2011, training at the Sporting Lisbon academy for the duration of their stay.

The 40.5 million euros marketing campaign promoting Spain as an ideal sports destination will include the following 32 markets: Germany, Austria, Bélgium, Denmark, Eslovenia, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Letonia, Lituania, Noruay, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, UL, Check Republic, Russia, Sueden, Suitzerland, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, México, China, South korea, India, Japan, Singapure and Australia.

Bath Rugby Summer Camp held 6 – 10 July was a great success largely thanks to the involvement of the Bath Youth Rugby Community Foundation.
