Dear Move Sports, all collaborators were very happy with all the arrangements done by your team for our corporate event in Lisbon in October 2009. The Fado evening in particular was an excellent choice you have done and everybody was very impressed and enjoyed greatly. Dear All, We have all returned from our rugby tour to Portugal to our respective countries safely and probably very tired. It's a little on the cold side in Ontario and I already miss the 26c in the Algarve! On behalf of the whole group, I want to thank you for bringing the arrangements together to produce such a fantastic rugby tour in Portugal. You were all excellent. Having you guys with us for most of the rugby tour was very beneficial. We enjoyed your company very much. The next time you come into contact with our opponents, please pass on our regards for their fantastic hosting and gifts. MRFC will be very proud to display the handmade rugby ball in our clubhouse, to be admired for years to come. Lastly, we all wish you continued success with Move Sports. Dear Move Sports, we had a sailing holiday in Cascais during the SB3 World Championships, Mike finished 4^th!  I cannot thank you enough for all you efforts during the booking of our trip and that the airport transfers were fantastic.  I’m very glad that we decided to stay in the hotel recomended by you, we had a truly wonderful sailing holiday and would very much like to return. 

Dear Move Sports, we had a sailing holiday in Cascais for the SB3 Worlds! What a wonderful venue! Thank you for all of you help with many people travel and accommodation, you gave a first class service. I also would like to thank you for arranging the airport transfer at such short notice, it was enormously appreciated. I hope to visit Cascais again and I will contact you when I do for a hotel recomendation!!!

Dear MOVE SPORTS

This letter of testimony is provided on behalf of Bath Youth Rugby, in the knowledge that it may be circulated to others. I, and those around me, have considerable experience in our game, and particularly with the challenge of tour management to provide a successful rugby tour for all!

Bath Youth Rugby Colts (U18) attended the inaugural Portugal Rugby Youth Festival held in Lisbon over Saturday 4^{th & Sunday 5th April 2009. We had a playing squad of 25 young men and a further 10 supporting staff and parents. We arrived in Lisbon on Thursday 2nd April, a couple of days prior to the Festival, and departed Monday 6th April. The weather was perfect for Festival Rugby, hot sunny days, in a wonderful City.}

The Portugal Rugby Tournament was a great event, well-organised, safe and with every rugby facility available. Each squad had a designated courier for the duration of the rugby event, and this local input was a great benefit. Our courier remained with the squad from the initial greeting at the airport, to waving us off on departure. He was with us at all our matches, even carrying on the water!

The provided rugby tournament transport, modern air conditioned coaches (with fitted seatbelts) ran smoothly and always on time, our drivers were more than accommodating, making additional unscheduled stops for our party to visit supermarkets etc. The pre-rugby tour planning and communication provided by MOVE SPORTS was excellent. After our initial booking we were able to add additional party members, and activities, without any problem, and everything we requested was met without hitch.

On our first day in Lisbon we had added a memorable visit to a karting establishment; an event which helped bond the group. MOVE SPORTS arranged this additional transport and the karting booking and we simply enjoyed the experience.

The accommodation, we stayed at Lisbon Bungallow Park was perfect for our needs. Chalet accommodation in a pine forest park, a secure site with all required facilities, and upon request MOVE SPORTS were able to arrange for us use a local rugby club’s facilities for coaching.

A thorough management/referee briefing, hosted in a wonderful hotel facility at Hotel Soplplay, the evening prior to the Rugby Tournament, allowed the team managements to meet one another, and ensured that all aspects of the Rugby Festival were discussed and agreed. We had an RFU Society Referee accompany us to the Rugby festival, and he was very impressed with the referee briefing, which clarified all local interpretations.

The Festival location Complexo Desportivo do Jamor is a very impressive stadium complex, and the high-quality of MOVE SPORTS event organisation has set the bar very high for future Festivals. On the playing side it was perfect – plenty of modern changing facilities, the pitches were perfect, grass covered, watered and well-presented. Some of the matches were played on an adjoining rubber crum Astro pitch. Pitchside there was always sufficient bottled drinking water. The event even arranged a pitchside tent where physios provided free treatment advice and strapping!

From a social aspect, there was a well-appointed sponsor’s tented village, an area which was used for presentations on the final evening, and which was also the player feeding area. Frankly, we would recommend anyone attending this event to book the event lunches. There was a balanced choice of meals, fruit and drink and plenty of it, and the timing of your feeding is arranged to suit your draw in the Rugby Festival!

"Coaches Corner" – a corporate sponsored tent – set aside for squad management only, provided free hospitality of a bar and refreshments throughout the event, and again allowed coaches of the participating squads to meet and exchange contact details, and we are sure this will strengthen rugby relationships.

Throughout the Rugby Tournament, the standard of rugby played was good, and at times excellent. It was obvious from the outset that for the Portuguese and Spanish sides attending, this International Rugby Event was a great opportunity to play visiting sides from Europe, and discover at what standard they were as players in a "bigger picture" - they certainly never backed off!

Our party was entered in the Under 18 years Competition, in which there were club and school squads from Portugal, Spain, Wales, and England. It was a well-fought rugby competition, and on reaching the final we were runners-up to the deserved winners, Crawshays Representative Squad (Wales).

We would like to register our thanks to all sponsors, TMN, SAPO, Câmara Municipal de Oeiras, Lift Consulting, Adidas, Heineken, Instituto do Desporto de Portugal, Federação Portuguesa de Rugby and Espirito Santo Saúde without whom these rugby events would not be possible - in particular MOVE SPORTS for their organisation and delivery of a great event for youth rugby.

Bath Youth Rugby would have no hesitation in recommending the Portugal Youth Festival, Lisbon to any UK touring, school and club sides – the weather is great, the organisation is impeccable, and such a well-organised rugby event can be a valuable part of player and squad development - the event is what you make it!
