Due to the new coronavirus epidemic, the Lisbon Basketball Youth Cup will be postponed to June 26 & 27, 2021. Move Sports, the event organisers, are making this decision in line with the latest recommendations from the Portuguese Government, through its National Health Service (NHS), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Portuguese Basketball Federation, which cancelled all basketball activity in the country in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The first edition of this new youth basketball event, aimed at boys and girls in U14, U16 and U18 age groups, was to be played in the coming month of June 2020, at the Lisbon University Stadium. This postponement is part of the effort to contain the new coronavirus epidemic. All over the world, basketball competitions are being cancelled. As of April 8, the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) cancelled all 16 of this summer's FIBA European Championships, over concerns about the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
During this time of confinement, be sure to stay physically and mentally active! Stay home, stay safe and keep in touch with your fellow teammates. In the end, together, we'll beat this virus and resume our favourite activities - such as playing basketball!

We excel at combining sports competition with fun leisure time activities and great entertainment in a safe and friendly environment.
