What to do on New Year's Eve 2023

There are many fun and enjoyable activities that people like to do on New Year's Eve. Whether you want to stay home with family or friends or go out for fun, there are options for everyone. We'll tell you more about our recommendations, but before the party: reflect on the past year and set goals for the new one.

Take some time to think about 2022 and what you accomplished. Then, make a list of goals or resolutions for the new year. Writing down your goals can help you stay motivated and on track.

Host a New Year's Eve party

Invite friends and family over to celebrate the new year. You can serve food (also, you can have a potluck dinner: invite friends and family over and have everyone bring a dish to share) and drinks, play music and have games or activities like a photo booth, board games, card games, or video games.

You could also have a friendly competition, like a tournament (for an official one, count on Move Sports for help). In this case, for easy at-home activities, here are some ideas:

  • Bowling: use your regular bowling pins or a fun jumbo bowling set for the tournament.
  • Tennis: set up a tennis net for your group to play a fun game.
  • Frisbee: it combines all the best elements of American football, soccer, basketball, and everyone's favorite beach sport: tossing a Frisbee disc.
  • Darts Tournament:  to play, set up the dart board, and have residents toss the darts from behind a line. Keep track of points and award a fun prize to the winning team.

You can also go out during the day, before the party, with your friends and family and play some sports. It can be football, swimming, dancing, rugby, padel tennis, badminton, or snorkeling, for example. Don’t forget that sports always celebrate the human body and the human soul working together. Sports make us bigger, and better, not only physically, but mentally too. Do it more in 2023!
